Please visit our SOLD page, to view the horses we have sold in the past and their new owners.
I’ll start with the
youngest and work my way up through the broodmares!!
SOLD - Embellised, our fancy show weanling filly who was born at Mackies in Ontario was bought by them along with her dam, Barlinks Mini Pearl. Embellised has been resold to the US after winning most of her futurities.
Doug McKenzie: July 1,
2006 Solid Bay Colt – Reg name not decided yet.
Sire: I Art To Have Color
Dam: Real Bonanaza – now a 16 hand AQHA/APHA lovely
mare
Dougie was born July 1st out in the field and we were
away, Maci, his mom was a first time mom and spent all
her time running away from the others so poor Dougie
got dehydrated and diarrhea. So, his introduction to
people was filled with bad tasting stuff in his mouth
and lots of needles and bum washing. He survived and
is now thriving, eating oats from his own bucket. He
is a beautiful dark bay colt with an awesome head and
neck like his sire and dam. Will be tall and elegant.
Would be a great grow your own hunter prospect. He now
likes people, especially the ones who scratch his bum
for him. Eligible for BT and the Oregon Triple Crown
Program.
Price: 500.00
Miranda
– May 19, 2006 Solid Bay Filly – AQHA/APHA not reg yet
Sire: HBF Iron Man 5x World Champion, Congress
Champion and his first foal is a WC. Now has his AQHA
papers and qualified for the AQHA WS after coming out
of retirement with 8 weeks training.
Dam: Iknowimfancy – she is a big, black, beautiful ROM
Race Mare who is 16 hands, advanced to white papers so
her filly will have those as well.
Miranda was born an ugly duckling and has blossomed
into a beautiful filly. She is not going to turn gray,
will stay dark bay, should be in the 16.2 hand range
when mature. She too is a bum kid and will back up
forever to keep within your hand range. Will be paid
into APHA BT and AQHA IF plus she is eligible for the
Oregon Triple Crown Program. Superb HUS prospect for
the serious show person.
Price: 2500.00
Hot
Encounter - April 19, 2006 sorrel overo colt reg with
AQHA and APHA
Sire: CF Heat Wave (full brother to WC Barlink Zip
Code)
Never shown because his previous owners didn’t – he has been jumped, barrel raced, ditch rode, packed
on and has a super good disposition that he passes on
to his foals.
Dam: Gee Im Cute sired by Encountered, World and
Congress Champion and becoming a sire of winners in
the halter and performance divisions.
“Clark
Kent” so named because he was either Joe Cool just
hangin out or flying past you at sonic speeds. He’s
very fancy, going to be a legitmate halter prospect
and is paid into BT. Should finish off in the 15.3
hand range. Mom took her hoof off when he was a couple
of weeks old, so he has been hauled, seen some of the
world, will be weaned in early September and ready for
his new owner. Knows his name, picks his feet up and
comes as soon as he sees you .
Price: 2000.00 but open to fair offers, especially if
you would like to show him.

Love: - April 2006 minimal sorrel overo colt –
APHA/AQHA
Sire: CF Heat Wave
Dam: Sculpted With Love by Sculptured (more halter pts
than any other QH + 2 Time WC and a sire)
“Fast Eddie” is bred to be a halter
horse but looks like a HUS prospect, the same as his
QH half brother out of Sculpted With Love. He is tall,
just enough white, fancy face marking, lots of
rabicano ticking on his light sorrel . Has a small
hernia to be removed and we’ll do that and take px of
his qualifying belly spot and probably geld him all at
the same time in September. He’s an inquisitive kid,
will follow you anywhere to see if he can “help”.
Should make a great show gelding for a youth or ammy.
I suspect he is going to be one of those who thrives
on being mauled to death by kids.
Price: 2,000.00 and open to fair offers.

Found a new home with long time Artie fan, Rhoda Heitz of Redwater, Ab
Art
Throb – April 2006 Bay Solid Colt
Sire: I Art To Have Color
Dam: Teddys Sparkle who was 3rd at the WS in WP and
has earned her superior in WP
“Donovan” looks like, moves like a mini warmblood. He
is tall, dark bay, has a neck to die for, legs that go
on forever. And he is a thinker. Never does anything
fast because he has to think about it first. Would
make a great open circuit hunter. Eligible for APHA BT
and the Oregon Triple Crown Program. Weaned, halter
broke and ready to go.
Price: 500.00
Moving
Image; - April 2006 Bay Solid colt
Sire: I Art To Have Color
Dam: Sonnysdundandee by Sonny Sides Image, WC Sire +
multiple superiors etc
“Boston” was our first foal
this
year and I was totally amazed at his size and bone
when he arrived. Going to be big both in terms of
height and body. And like his other kids, Artie has
stamped him with his great neck and head and
disposition. Great candidate for your “grow your own
hunter” program. Or he’d make a great trail horse for
some one who needs a big horse with great bone.
Eligible for BT and Oregon Triple Crown Program.
Price: 500.00

Caught the eye of Jim McNamara of Red Deer and is destined to be his riding partner when he grows up.
Dun
Up Royally – Oct. 27, 2005 Solid Buckskin Colt
Sire: I Art To Have Color
Dam: Poolingui by Puchilingui, TB
“Howard” was a oops late Oct foal.
His dam was preg checked open in Sept and went back
out with the mares with plans for an early 2005
breeding. He is very cute, going to be tall, is one
fancy kid who moves like silk. We’ve not gelded him
yet as he had a hard start in life being born late and
sure got his seasons confused and didn’t shed off
until July. Been outside most of his life just hanging
out and growing. Can be registered with either
Buckskin Assn and shown there as well as APHA. Hasn’t
had a lot of handling due to my various incidents but
is willing, easy to catch and work with.
Price: 1,000.00
Set
My Irons - Feb 2005 solid gray colt AQHA/APHA
Sire: HBF Iron Man – 5 Time WC + Congress Champion in
both HUS and WP. First foal is also a WC
Dam: Claudias Upset – TB Race Winner and survivor
“Bradley” was born people oriented
which is a good thing given his size and body mass.
Currently a dark gray and about 15.1 or so. Going to
be over 16 hand when done – has great bone and feet.
Been bathed, clipped and hauled and is super nice to
deal with. He is a legitimate stallion prospect with
his conformation, disposition and bloodlines plus his
willingness to please. Paid into BT and IF plus NSBA
and Oregon Triple Crown Program. In the right hands he
could pay his way down the show trail easily.
Price: Reduced from 5000.00 to 3500.00 to the right
person
Love
Sculpture: April 2005 Loud Sorrel Overo filly with two
blue eyes – N/H AQHA/APHA
Sire: CF Heat Wave
Dam: Sculpted With Love AQHA
“Izzabella” looks like everyone
expects a paint horse to look like. 50/50 color
pattern, bald face and two blue eyes. Huge hip with
lots of carry down. She is bred to be a halter horse
and looks the part. She is N/H with no special care
and has no symptoms. Lives outside 24/7 with the rest
of the yearlings. She tore the top ridge of her
nostril this spring, then tore the stitches out but
you can hardly see it now. Should finish in the 15.2
hand range. Being double registered she offers the
serious breeders the opportunity to avoid have solid
paints if that bothers you as you can just register
them AQHA.
Price: 2,000.00
Wave
En: April 2005 chestnut overo filly AQHA/APHA
Sire: CF Heat Wave
Dam: Gee Im Cute – see above under Hot Encounter
“Mary Kate” (mom’s barn name is
Ashley so what else could you call her?) is beginning
to blossom and look like the good halter horse her
bloodlines say she should be. Had a major case of
yearling uglies earlier this year. She is easy to
catch and deal with. Lives outside with the other
kids, they get dewormed monthly, trimmed every 2
months, fed well. Should be a good halter prospect as
a two yr old and then as a broodmare offers you
choices because of her double registry. I can’t get a
good px of her, she is way nicer in person.
Price: 2,000.00
Embossed
Print – April 2005 Sorrel Splash Overo Filly – N/N
Sire: RH Mr Imprint – sire of WC, superiors in both
halter and performance etc etc. on Leading Sires List
every year.
Dam: Sure Fire Dandy – producer of superior halter +
pt earners and herself a pt earner\
Maggie Mae is truly a HUS prospect deluxe, tall,
elegant, tons of eye appeal and a huge stride. Has
some attitude that makes her unsuitable for a beginner
but willing to please the person who understands her.
Going to be 16 hands and a rider, she is paid into BT
and should pay her way down the show trail with the
right owner. She has been hauled, bathed, clipped.
Lives with the other kids outside but much prefers to
be a barn princess. I believe she is the only RH Mr
Imprint filly available in Western Canada.
Price: 3000.00
Prismz
– April 2005 loud sorrel overo filly – N/N
Sire: Dirty Sonny, superior halter and WP plus on
Leading Sires List annually
Dam: Peach Pitt, daughter of Prismatic, WC Halter
Stallion and the dam of Earner of superiors
“Peggy” is another good filly destined to show in the
HUS classes plus others. Her full brother
Dirtonmypeaches has earned well over 150 pts in
several events and divisions. Currently on Dreamhorse
for 20K. This filly shares his genetics and the
potential to do equally well in the show ring. Been
shown lightly at halter this year. Been hauled,
clipped, bathed, shown, good in her stall and with
blankets. She is an Alpha mare and prefers to own just
one person. Understands “I don’t think so” perfectly.
Paid into BT.
Price: 3000.00
Born
Cute; April 2005 minimal sorrel overo filly. N/H
Sire: Born To Be Grand, WC Sire of Hunter over fences
in APHA + winners of Baby Green Hunter at Thunderbird,
a world class jumping facility.
Dam: Sugars Sweet Kid, AQHA producer of earner of
halter, trail and HUS pts.
“Mellie”
is a Willie Child, known for their willingness to
please and good natures. Her full sister earned 34 pts
in halter, trail and HUS in very limited showing and
is 16 hands. I fully expect her to do better than her
sister in the show ring. She was my choice for my
Vegas Slot Class with 75,000.00 in prize money but I
sold it when Special died. She is N/H – no symptoms
and no special feed or care. Will be a tough halter
mare.
Price: 2,000.00
SOLD
My Wave along with our weanling TB filly is also going to Saskatchewn - Darci Conlon chose them for potential broodmares.
My Wave ; April 2005 chestnut overo
filly
SireL CF Heat Wave
Dam: Panzas Qutee – double superior halter mare with
111 pts.
“Meaghan” was our biggest foal when she was sold last
fall as a weanling. She did have a back ankle that
wanted to turn that foot in but was easily manageable
with trimming. Short version – she was starved, feet
not done – we brought her back home. So, she will
never reach her full genetic potential but she does
look like a horse again finally. She does travel
straight but her back ankle is a funky shape. Truly
feminine and pretty, she lives to please people so a
special home for her is required more than money.

Chosen by Shauna Smart just before she moved to Indianhead, Sask so he's moved there with her.
Waves
of Pleasure – April 2005 sorrel overo gelding
Sire: CF Heat Wave
Dam: The Pleasures Mine, superior trail mare with pts
in other events.
“Armand”
was given his name because some people who were of
French descent wanted to buy him, the deal fell apart,
but the name suits him. He’s in the only boy in the
herd of girls, pretends to boss them around and fails
badly. Super cute, great personality and a good mover.
Would make an incredible youth or ammy gelding. Going
to be fairly tall, pretty enough to halter and
talented enough for an all round mount.
Price: 1500.00
MARES
SOLD
Sold to Karen Kotalyk of Sask who is beginning to add HUS horses to her breeding program
Past
My Curfew: 2003 Bay Solid Mare
Sire: I Got Charisma by Red Charisma. He is becoming a
sire in his own right. His foals are typy, super
movers with great dispositions.
Dam: Soprano – TB Mare who produced a winner at Devon
“Hunter” is the mare every one loves as soon as they
see her but no one will buy because she is not 16
hands but a mere 15.1. In motion, she looks and acts
bigger because of her movement and eye appeal. Even
standing still she looks like a HUS horse. So we bred
her to I Art To Have Color and I will kick myself six
ways from Sunday for selling her as I believe this
will be an awesome cross. Foal with be eligible for BT
and she is negative for the OLWS. Tested her for a
potential buyer who said she would take her if
negative. Hmm, still here.
Price: 2500.00
SOLD
Our newest mare who is such a producer is headed to Ontario to take up residence with Stephany and Jason Varney.
Peach
Pitt- 1995 Loud Sorrel Overo Mare – N/N
Sire: Prismatic, World Champion Halter Stallion
Dam: Paint The Town Red Daughter
“Peaches” was bred and raised by Greg Reisinger who
continues to be APHA Leading Breeder year after year.
She is broke to ride although we’ve not ridden her.
She is a producer – her gelding Dirtonmypeaches has
accumulated over 150 pts – 3 superiors, was on the
Honor Roll last year and is for sale on Dreamhorse for
20,000.00. Lovely mare to have around, good to deworm
and trim, lives well in a group situation. She is in
foal to I Art To Have Color for 2007 and her foal will
be eligible for BT.
Price: 3500.00
SOLD
Heads north to Fort St John to join the mare band of Darby Lewis and will be bred to BC Revenue Barlink next year.
Gee
Im Cute - 2001 Sorrel Overo Mare AQHA/APHA – N/N
Sire; Encountered, World and Congress Champion, sire
of superiors, futurity winners etc
Dam: Bilt too Impressive
I call “Ashley” my silly filly. She grew up in CA and
didn’t have room to run. She came home with us in
January and discovered snow and room to run. And run
she does, she loves having space to run. She is 16
hands, very modern looking mare with an awesome neck
and pretty head. Dam of two foals, both colored to
date. Has some front leg issues from having check
ligament surgery and this spring managed to tear off a
portion of her back hoof. It is growing back, has a
funky shape but she is sound on it and doing well.
Haven’t preg checked her but suspect Artie bred her on
her foal heat right before she had her hoof accident.
She has shown no signs of being in heat. Her price
reflects her funky wheels even though she is sound on
them. Good mom with lots of milk, doesn’t mind you
messing with her kids, easy to catch and work with.
Has to go to some one with lots of room so she can
continue to enjoy her passion to run when she wants
to.
Price: 1,500.00
SOLD
Sold to Karen Kotalyk of Sask who is beginning to add HUS horses to her breeding program
Presenceofaprincess
- 2002 Bay AQHA Mare – IF
Sire: Northern Presence – TB siring Super HUS and WP
winners
Dam: Triples Princess by Triples Image
“Kirby” looks exactly like her pedigree says she
should – tall, elegant and refined with a big, soft
eye, pretty, pretty face and a disposition to match.
Close to 16 hands. Her dam is a Cdn Champion in HSE
and Trail. Her first foal, Born To Ride aka Earl is
too cute for words and sold almost instantly. She is
in foal to I Art To Have Color for 2007 and that dark
bay foal should be spectacular and will be eligible
for BT. She could easily go to the show ring if you
desire.
Price: 2,500.00
Sculpted
With Love; 1999 Sorrel AQHA Mare N/H
Sire: Sculptured – 2x World Champion and has more
halter pts than any other AQHA horse and is now a sire
of winners in halter, lunge line and under saddle
Dam: Most Prestigious, earner of 23 halter pts and a
full sister to Sucha Fistful, well known QH sire in
the Pacific NW
“Carrie” was a rescue case as a 3 yr old. Gay
Braunberger spotted her, took her home, restored her
to good health, started her under saddle and then
tested her for HYPP – when the test came back N/H, Gay
looked for a buyer as she wasn’t comfortable owning a
N/H mare. So we bought her, paid a fortune to get her
registered and brought her home in foal to a little
halter stallion. She had a lovely QH colt with almost
enough white for APHA. She has had two APHA foals for
us so far, both colored, both good bodied, good minded
and pretty like their dam. We bred her to Tribute To
Sierra on the long weekend in May – dumb because Fedex
wouldn’t ship and we missed her, so she is open
through no fault of hers. She is 15.3, lots of body,
big old hip with lots of carrydown on it.
Price 3,500.00
Really
Canadian – 2002 Chestnut Solid Mare AQHA and APHA
Sire: Real Bonanza – enough said
Dam: Blue River Bottom, AQHA mare who has produced
superior WP mare
“Maci” came home to us as a two yr old standing 15
hands with a streamlined body. She is now 16 hands and
built like a halter horse. She is so pretty, makes you
look twice at her. Had her first foal, Doug McKenzie
on July 1st and settled down after the initial “not
sure I want anyone near him” wore off and is a great
mom. She is open due to her late foaling date. I could
write a book about how much I like her. I believe she
can raise you a halter baby or a HUS baby depending on
which stallion you choose for her.
Price: 5,000.00
Panzas
Qutee; 1996 Gray Overo Mare – N/N
Sire; Panzas Top Robin, Reseve WC Sire + many
superiors in halter and performance events.
Dam: Socks Skip A Girl, earner of 21 halter pts she is
by Sock To Impress, sire of Sock Broker among many
other pt earners.
“Beverly” is the love of my horse life. She was so
ugly until she was 3 I couldn’t give her away. Then
she turned into a beautiful gray mare, who earned over
100 halter pts with only me fitting her and made it to
the Honor Roll as a 4 yr old. She has had only one
solid foal to date. Does carry the OLWS gene. Her
foals have always sold well and not all have grayed
out either. In foal to I Art To Have Color for a 2007
foal who is eligible for BT.
Price 8,500.00
WR
Chloe – 2002 Palomino Overo mare – carries the
Champagne Gene N/H
Sire: Obviously A Mister, 199 halter pts and sire of
Top Ten at World Show + many superiors etc etc.
Dam; Solid as The Sun – producer of multiple superiors
in halter and Top Ten at WS + futurity winners.
Chloe was 8th at the WS as a weanling in both the ammy
and open divisions. As a yearling with very limited
Showing she was high point halter mare at the Azeala
Classic in LA. She earned double halter superiors for
a total of 164 pts. Was High Point Halter Mare at
several circuits, #7 on the 2005 Honor Roll for 3 yr
old Mares etc etc. She is 15.3, massive mare who can
move like silk. She is N/H = no symptoms, no special
feed or care. In foal to I Art To Have Color for her
first foal who should be one of the very popular
dilute colors and has a chance of carrying the
champagne gene as well.
Price: 25,000.00
Man, that was tough to do, hope that when visiting our
home on the net, one of our horses “speaks to you” and
needs to go home with you.. I hope their new owners
love and enjoy as much as I have.
