We are extremely proud of our broodmares. They feature world class, proven bloodlines. Nearly all are sired by World or Reserve World Champion Sires. Over the years our mares have produced APHA Champions, Superior Halter Horses, Top Ten at the World Show, World Champion Halter Mare at the Pinto World Show, Futurity Winners in halter and performance and last but not least horses owned and loved by their owners for us. Many have also produced World Champions, Superior Event horses etc for their previous owners before we purchased them.
For repeat visitors you will still recognize most of the girls - we sold some young mares - gave The Wild Child to a good friend, Terri Carothers, traded some so what we have left should raise us some good foals with the emphais on english prospects who can both look good and move exceptionally well.. And beginning in 2009, all will be colored foals.

NOTHINGS SACRED- 1999 Bay Tobiano Mare
Sire; Sacred Indian - Leading Sire of World Champions, Superior Event Horses etc etc
Dam: Successful Secret - TB Mare
I've lusted after a Sacred Indian Mare for years and was delighted when I found Sacred for sale. She had been shown successfully on the open jumper circuit doing 3'6" courses but came up lame in the fall of 2006. Her owner was in college so decided to sell her. Brought her home, rode her on the flat and she is fine for that only. Bred her to I Art To Have Color, 16.3 Hand Bay Stallion. She had a lovely bay tobiano colt in 2008 and we left her open for 2009. For 2010 she is bred to Deceived for a potentially homoygous foal.

Dee Dees Knick Knox - 1996 Bay AQHA Mare
Sire: Dynamic Deluxe - Leading Sire of Pleasure Horses
Dam: Skippy Knick Knox by Skip Knox
Well after buying both Beautiful BC and Doubles Holly Dolly in foal to Dynamics impression, I couldn't resist Mocha when she was offered for sale in foal to him for 2009. She looks just like her sire and is a really nice mare to have around. In May she foaled a lovely solid bay filly by Dynamics Impression that we named Wynona Ryder - check her out. Trying to decide whether to breed her to Deceived this year or get an earlier start next year.

DOUBLES HOLLY DOLLY - 1989 Chestnut Mare
Sire: Double Dose Sonny
Dam: Bonds Dolly
Diane again used her enabling skills finding me this mare at Contis once again. She has been a deluxe producer. Crossed 9 times on Dynamics Impression, 7 foals are of point earning age and all have done that very well including the 2007 Reserve Congress Champion Just Call Me Dynamics. She arrived in foal to Dynamics Impression for 2008 andgave us a really fancy chestnut filly we called Charlotte and Teri Carothers snatched her up when she was a month old. Bred back the same way, this year she gave us a really cute light sorrel colt nicknamed Tiny Tim who nearly died at 4 days old but he is a tough kid and at a month old is rapidly gaining back the ground he lost when sick. Like Mocha she foaled late and we are deciding whether to breed her or start early in 2010.

A SPOT I GOT - 2001 Chestnut Overo Mare also reg TB
Sire; Spot Pocket sire of open jumpers
Dam: Elmer's Pride by a son of Nearctic
I was so excited when I saw her for sale online. A double reg TB mare who was also broke to death. The good christian family who owned her neglected to include in the ad that she is a stall weaver and BLIND. They also forgot to feed her. So, many heated discussions took place after she arrived here. They sent back her purchase price while not agreeing to my false claims about her. But "Buffy" has adapted to her new surroundings, has Chickie as her "guide dog". She can see very limited light and some motion. She knows her name, comes towards you when you call her, great to deworm and trim. You don't want to be near her when she starts bucking and rearing though.I suspect she will live here forever too as a pasture ornament. Not a huge market for a blind mare. When our farrier, Pete Rogers lost two mares in a tragic accident I offered Buffy to them as I knew they would give her a great home and she has settled in well, found a new "guide" horse to be her buddy and they are breeding her this year for a 2010 foal.

SPOTTED JULIET - 1999 Chestnut TB Mare
Sire: Regal Remark - Leading TB Sire in Canada
Dam: Brite Lite Liz
Juliet wants to be a paint and we're going to get her registered APHA. She has 3 large belly spots, spots on both hips, a coon tail, tall stockings and white on her lower lip. She is a kind soul, wants nothing more than to be loved on.Toyed with breeding her to a TB for a race prospect but decided I can't afford to play that game so bred her to Terri Carothers new gray overo stallion in 2008. Terri plans to register him with AQHA so the resulting foal will be double registered too. That hasn't happened but Juliet exceeded my dreams when she foaled out Mark, a stunning gray overo colt in mid April. Unfortunately she stepped on his hock a week later so got more attention and care than he really wanted - with daily meds for over a week. But he is tough, and good as new. She too is being bred to Deceived for a 2010 foal for her new owner Darcie Conlon who seriously twisted my arm to sell her to her.

CASINOS ROSE - 1990 Sorrel Solid Mare
Sire: Cupids Casino - proven sire of superior and APHA Champions
Dam; Partee Say Si Bon by Mr Robin Boy
Rose was a gift from The Vos in Washington bred to Imperial Snips, sire of 15 World And Reserve World Champions etc etc. They were keeping only their halter bred mares and with her age and arthritis they wanted to chose her new home rather than sell her and they chose me.I have lusted after an Imperial Snips foal since watching Cheek My Checks over the years. She is quite the producer, her foals have earned over 800 performance pts. When we got Carol home, I kept wanting to call her Carol so she became Carol Rose and living in 5 acres of pasture really helped her ability to get around. In March after being way overdue both by Cindy's calculations and mine, her fancy solid sorrel colt arrived and immediately was named Matt Lock Rose. We are hoping that he exposes a belly spot as he darkens from his baby fuzz like his full sister did. Carol Rose is bred to Deceived for a 2010 foal

DANCING TREASURE - 1998 Bay Tobiano Mare
Sire: Treasured - Well known Sire of Running Horses by Easy Jet Too
Dam: Red Wind Dancer by Raise Caine (TB)
Dancer is bred to run a hole in the wind but has been used as a broodmare only and for the last few years was just hanging out at our friends as they focused more on their warmblood program. My daughter and son-in-law, Dave and Stacey Gray decided to buy her, let her live here (hard to keep her in the backyard in town) and be bred to Deceived for a 2010 foal. That was fairly exciting as she had never seen a stallion up close and personal. But he perserved and she soon came around to his way of thinking. She is now his biggest fan and although no longer lives with him, hangs on the fence watching him with the other mares. Kinda funny really.

REALLY CANADIAN - 2002 Sorrel Mare APHA and AQHA
Maci is a daughter of Real Bonanza and out of a QH mare, Blue River Bottom whose foals have show records. Maci is solid filly with fancy, sabino markings and I suspect will be a great color producing mare. She arrived with Claudia’s Upset and her HBF Iron Man filly and immediately appointed herself the filly’s bodyguard. She also has become the official greeter at the gate to the field and will run full tilt to meet you regardless of where she is in the field. She foaled all by herself as a maiden mare with no problem but Dougie McKenzie was born July 1st so we left her open that year. This year with absolutely no signs of impending birth foaled outside on a very cold Sunday night. When I got up at 5.30 am - there was our fat little 12.3 hand pony and Leslie, our 16.3 hand two yr filly with a foal tucked between them in the trees. Huh, how can that be, neither were bred so down I went and of course they took off to the far corner of the field with the foal. After a slight discussion, the pony came down and was locked up in a pen. Looked around and discovered this tiny bay tobiano filly belonged to Maci and we began the long trek up the hill to the barn. The poor filly was cold, exhausted from being "so wanted" and I couldn't tell if she had even nursed. Got them tucked away in the barn, turned the heat on and left them to get acquainted while I did chores. When I checked the foal had nursed and was flat out sound asleep in the middle of the stall. The next day she developed very labored breathing and the vet came out and we discovered her lungs were full of fluid, her tongue and one side of her face swollen and she wasn't breathing out her right nostril. So we added her to the nursing care list and be the end of the week, she was doing way better and today is ripping around with the boys having a great time. We called her Highly Desired to reflect the fact that all the mares wanted her at birth. Maci is bred back to Deceived for 2010 as well.

CLAUDIA"S UPSET - TB MARE
Very pretty TB Mare who had a horrible life for several years She was rescued and restored to good health, then sold to a TB farm in Florida, then resold a couple of times before we were offered her by April Hakim in SC. I didn’t know her history until she arrived home but I can guarantee she will never leave here. Her first weeks here were spent trying to be invisible in the hope that nothing bad would happen or at least that’s what I thought. , She's given us several lovely foals, 3 by HBF Iron Man and is in foal for 2008 to I Art To Have Color. - She came up open in 2008 and again in 2009 but has been bred for 2010 to Deceived and I am so looking forward to her foal. She is such a sweetheart and I have managed to make her almost obese this past winter when I thought she was in foal. She is 21 years young this year.

TEDDYS SPLASH - N/N AQHA & APHA
1988 Chestnut Overo Mare
Sire: Chocks Impressive - was Teddys Splash
Dam: Burgandy Song
We bought her as a 4 year old in foal to Dirty Sonny and the resulting foal was Bodyguard. She has her Superior in Western Pleasure and was 3rd at World Show in WP. Her foals have won both halter and performance futurities. One daughter is now in Denmark in foal to a top reining horse.
It’s hard to believe we’ve owned her for 17years already. Her foals are usually the first ones to sell and the ones who show well. She is one of the mares who will spend the rest of her life with us. Sparkle was open in 2008, we're now thinking that poor little Deceived hadn't quite figured out how to breed those tall girls. This year, wow, Dennis The Menace arrived - Deceived's first foal for us and he is really nice. We registered him as bay tovero - he may yet shed off black as he is that funny color still. His reg name is X Press O -- this kid lopes like a natural pleasure horse already with a good head set. Neat to watch him come across the field to you. And yep, Sparkle too is bred back to Deceived for a 2010 foal.

PANZAS QUTEE
1996 Gray Overo Mare
Sire: Panzas Top Robin
Dam: Socks Skip A Girl x Sock To Impress
"Beverly" was purchased as a yearling to re-sell, but luckily no one would buy her - "too ugly". She wasn’t much better as a two year old. Then she blossomed and in a short show career spanning only a few months as a 3 and 4 year old she earned both her Open and Amateur Superior in Halter and accumulated a fan club along the way. Her sire is a Reserve World Champion Sire, + multiple superiors, APHA Champions etc. Her dam has 21 halter points and is a ½ sister to Sock Broker.
She unfortunately had a lethal white in 2007 so we left her open. And we left her open again for 2009 but she is now bred to Deceived for 2010 and she has missed having her own foal to love on. One of her fillies, Dorian Gray is being shown here in AB on the paint circuit and doing well. As she matures she looks more and more like her dam.

MISS SIZZLE CHICK - 1978 Mare APHA & AQHA
1978 Sorrel BS Mare
Sire: Our Sir Prize
Dam: My Tontime
We are so fortunate to own this mare. She is a multiple World and Reserve World Champion producer and to list all of the accomplishments of her foals would require her own website. She’s a full sister to Barlink Macho Man’s dam as well. She is 31 years young this year and is now registered QH as well.
Miss Sizzle Chick came up open for 2004 after a long run of superb babies so she was officially retired along with Illusion.
With the passing of both Illusion and Smooth Angie, Chickie has new friends and a new career. She is the guide mare for the blind TB Mare, Buffy (which drives her nuts sometimes) and a mentor to the yearling fillies who also live with her. We were quite surprised today (June 20th) to find her hanging on the fence in full blown heat winking at Deceived with all her might. So we invited him to come for a visit for the afternoon and he bred her -- that would sure be something if she catches after all this time. She is in excellent health, lopes off in the morning to meet her friends and has been known to buck and rear when the mood strikes her.

SMOOTH ANGIE -- 1981 Bay AQHA Mare - DECEASED
Fully recovered from her injuries, she's fat, happy and hard to believe she is creeping up on 25 yrs young. Her gelding, Z1 Sierras Three Jets was 8th in Novice Ammy WP Cut 2, and Smooth Recovery, her now two year old filly, is the Ontario Paint Horse Club’s high point halter mare for 2003.
Smooth Angie also came up empty this spring for whatever reason, old age maybe. In the 2004 World Sale catalogue there is a grand daughter of hers going thru the sale. In the remarks, it notes that she has had 10 QH foals and 8 Paint foals so has definitely been a producer and earned her retirement as well. She too lived in the seniors retirement pen with the others.
We lost Angie to a heart attack late in 2007.
